Jason Elbert is a Class A, PGA Golf Professional who joined the staff of Champion Sports Tours in March, 2008. We are excited to expand our golf division and be associated with the Professional Golfers Association of America.
With over 6 years of golf course management experience and a lifetime dedicated to golf, Jason is the perfect fit for our expanding golf division. After graduating from Western Kentucky University in December, 2001 Jason began his career in the golf business with the City of Shelbyville, Kentucky as the Assistant Golf Professional at the city-owned Weissinger Hills Golf Course. While working through the challenging PGA-PGM program, Jason gained valuable experience working under the tutelage of area golf professionals, Mike Riley, PGA and Bryan Slone, PGA.
In 2006 Jason accepted the Head Golf Professional position at Glenmary Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. During his tenure with Glenmary, Jason contributed to the continued growth of the club by increasing the total number of golfers by over 30% and doubling the number of corporate and charity events for the facility.
As a PGA Professional, Jason enjoys the challenges and rewards associated with event management, tournament operations, and teaching the game of golf. Recently, Jason was nominated for the prestigious Teacher of the Year Award presented by the Kentucky Section PGA. Also, in recognition for his academic achievements in the PGA-PGM program, he was awarded the 2007 Acushnet Golf Scholarship presented to the individual with the highest ranking test scores in the final level of program.
